A new track from Toronto artist K-os has hit the web. In anticipation of his new album Yes! being released in March 2009 the relunctant superstar will begin promotion and his first stop was Okayplayer homepage where he dropped this track - Astronaut. Click on the link to have a listen;

K-os stays pretty underground with his music releases and besides a couple of b-sides and remixes he hasn't been heard from since the release of 2007's Atlantis Hyms for Disco which produced the smash single "Sunday Morning".
This song doesn't stray far from his successful formula. It is an upbeat song with some fun lyrics and this will be a radio anthem across all the formats. What he does bring in this song is a little bit of Kanye West's 808 and Heartbreak, with some autotune or voice-altering device. It works and I don't think his fans will be upset with him for using this now trendy style.
Also, check for his first official radio single 4,3,2,1 that is making it way onto radio stations.
